Wednesday, July 22

*7:25 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Milam Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the City of Brownwood Aquatic Center had been vandalized.  Possible suspects were determined and an investigation is ongoing.  Brownwood Police officials stated that there was no spray paint used, however, two speakers were “punched in,” a lifeguard chair was overturned along with some other minor damage to the property.

*7:30 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle, which was in the parking lot while she was working, had been struck and no information had been left on her vehicle.

*9:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding forgery.  According to the report, a store clerk reported that the business had received a counterfeit bill.

*10:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding forgery.  A store clerk stated the business had received a counterfeit bill, the report states.

*1:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding fraud.  According to the report, the complainant received a check from a stranger in response to her Craigslist ad.  After she had deposited the check, in the amount of $2050, her bank contacted her to advise the check was fictitious, the report states.

*5:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.

Thursday, July 23

*8:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding a male subject passed out in a vehicle.  According to the report, a brief investigation was initiated and after multiple attempts to contact someone to pick up the male, this call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Daniel Tran Nguyen of Brownwood for public intoxication.

*6:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding juveniles who had left their homes without permission.  According to the report, the juveniles were located and one was found to be in possession of tobacco.  The juvenile was issued a citation for minor in possession of tobacco.

*8:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Oak Street regarding the theft of a firearm.

*10:52 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a married couple had a dispute and each claimed to have been assaulted.  The parties’ stories were very conflicting and injuries were inconsistent with the investigation, the officer reported.

Friday, July 24

*12:35 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the area of 3rd Street and Fisk Avenue.  According to the report, a male subject identified as 36-year-old Randal Frink of Brownwood had forced his way into a residence and assaulted another male.  The complainant wished to pursue charges, which led to the arrest of Frink for burglary with intent to commit assault.

*12:56 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding a burglary.  According to the report, items stolen included a laptop computer as well as costume jewelry.

*1:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding online threats.  According to the report, threats were made toward the complainant from a known male subject regarding an online sales competition, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Randoll Gerardo Berumen of Brownwood on a warrant for failure to appear related to theft.
