Tuesday, July 21

*7:16 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business on County Road 234 regarding an assault.  According to the report, a complainant stated that a former employee had assaulted another employee after a verbal argument.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a cell phone.  A suspect has been named, the report states.

Wednesday, July 22

*8:55 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Main Blvd.  According to the report, during the stop, it was discovered that the driver, identified as 32-year-old Hayley M. Munger of Early, had an active warrant for her arrest.  Munger was also found to be operating the vehicle without a valid license or current insurance, the report states.  Munger was subsequently arrested for the warrant (related to a city ordinance violation) and for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility.

*10:46 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding a possible wanted person.  According to the report, 26-year-old Shawna Marie Waddell of Brownwood was at the residence and when officers tried to get her to walk outside to talk to them; she ran out the front door, diving behind a cement porch and was then apprehended by police.  Waddell lied to police about her identity and was arrested for the two warrants along with additional charges of evading arrest/detention and failure to identify – fugitive gives false information, the report states.

*6:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue E regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had damaged his 8000 BTU window unit, valued at $650.

*11:13 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Wesley and Main Streets for a speeding violation.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of Robert Welch for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*28-year-old Payden Blaine Blackburn of Brownwood turned himself in on an Eastland County warrant related to retail theft.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Joe Richard Cadena, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear.  Cadena was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond as of Thursday morning.

*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Ashley Nicole Lawson of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant related to theft by check.

*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Tiffany Ann Stoddard of Brownwood on a Tarrant County warrant related to interfere with public duties.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Monica Ann Torro of Early on a warrant related to credit card or debit card abuse.

Thursday, July 23

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Robert Harley of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
