DavisDale Davis, 72, of Beattie, passed away at his home Sunday July 19, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21st at 8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22nd  at Broken Bronc Cowboy Church – 1900 FM 588 in Comanche.

Dale was born June 25, 1943 in Beattie, Texas, to Eugene and Odessa (Helm) Davis. He married Peggy Davis on January 4, 1964 and they had twin children, Bobby and Linda.

Dale was a man of many trades. He worked in the oil field, farmed, raised cattle and turkeys, and planted grass and vegetation on many government lakes and dams in Texas. He mowed highways and lake parks, owned a tractor and equipment sales store in both Brownwood and Comanche, and drilled water wells and installed water pumps.

Dale loved his family, friends, and church very much. He attended and was member of Taylor’s Chapel Church.

Dale is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Peggy Davis Davis; son, Bobby Davis and Stanley Davis; daughter, Linda Hooper and husband Ralph; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 God grandchild, and 1 God great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Rojean Lewis and husband Glen. He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Odessa Davis, and brother, Horace Davis.
