Brown County Farm Bureau awarded $5,000 to area youth during a presentation ceremony held on June 6th at Underwood’s Cafeteria for students, parents and guests.

Each student selected was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Those receiving scholarships included Cheyenne Edwards (Bangs lSD), daughter of Deron Edwards and Shawnee Traweek, who will attend Ranger College; Charlie Musick (Blanket lSD), son of Joe and Sabrena Musick, who will attend Sul Ross State University; Wesley Musick (Blanket ISD), son of Joe and Sabrena Musick, who will attend Tarleton State University; Jon Tobias (Brownwood lSD), son of Ramiro & Sylvia Tobias, who will attend Tarleton State University; and Cy Tongate (Early lSD), son of Jim Tongate & Susan Richardson, who will attend Texas A&M University.

Brown County Farm Bureau officials said that they are proud of these young adults and wish them all continued success as they continue their education in an agriculture related field.
