AdamsBobbyLeeFuneral services for Bobby Lee Adams will be at 2:30 Saturday at the Mercury Baptist Church with interment to follow in Cowboy Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Bobby Lee Adams, 56, of Mercury, went home to be with his heavenly father on July 8, 2015.

Bobby was born on February 20, 1959 in Brownwood to Joe Frank and Alta Adams.  He grew up in Mercury and was baptized at the Early Church of Christ.  He graduated from Rochelle High School in 1979.  Straight out of high school, he went to work for 3M and continued to work there until his retirement.  He was a devoted caretaker for his widowed mother and younger sister.  Bobby was loved by everyone who knew him for his caring heart and gentle spirit.

Bobby is survived by his only brother, Joe Frank Adams, Jr. of Spicewood; three sisters, Sheila Adams of Brownwood, Milly Kirklin of Early, and Gloria Jean Pearson of Ashdown, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews and his special canine companion Sophie.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Frank Adams and Alta Dickerson Adams and a nephew, John Michael Kirklin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to any cancer research charity or to the Hill Country Memorial Hospice Unit in Fredericksburg.

Condolences can be offered to the family at heartlandfuneralhome.net
