Brownwood Fire Department – Fire & Rescue Reports 7/6

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the period of June 29 – July 5, 2015 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 25 medical emergencies, 4 fire calls, 1 agency assist and 3 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest that the Brownwood Fire Department responded to include:

Monday, June 29

*5:21 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2900 block of Hemphill Street regarding alarm activation. The incident was determined to be unintentional alarm system activation.

*8:37 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  was dispatched to a fire call in the 2200 block of 1st Street regarding power lines arcing and shorted electrical equipment. Oncor was notified.

Tuesday, June 30

*6:30 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find that a kitchen fire had been extinguished by the employees with a fire extinguisher.

*5:25 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with injury and entrapment on C.C. Woodson Road and FM 2525. Early Volunteer Fire Department assisted with extrication of the occupant of one vehicles. One passenger air lifted for transport.

*9:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle accident involving a single motor vehicle at the intersection of Austin and Fisk Avenues.  Fire crews assisted with packaging and loading of the patient.

Wednesday, July 1

*11:04 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the 200 block of E. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to assist EMS with loading of patient.

*5:26 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1100 block of Fisk.  Firefighters arrived and it was determined that dust from a remodeling job had activated the fire alarm.   The incident was determined to be unintentional activation with no fire.

Sunday, July 5

*2:45 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to assist in a police matter Hall St / Almond St dispatched to provide a ladder to PD so they could access a roof top.
