MurrayBillServices for Bill Murray, age 84, of Early, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Bill passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Bangs Nursing Home with his family by his side.

Bill was born to William and Bessie Mae (Malone) Murray on April 24, 1931 in Center, Texas. Bill married Geraldine “Gerri” Payne on October 18, 1952. He was a former Assembly of God Minister. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Mills and Brown County. Bill loved planting flowers and working in the yard.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gerri Murray of Early; daughter, Laura Murray of Early; sister, Sue Newton and husband of Goldthwaite; sister-in-law, Ann Hughes of Bangs; brother-in-law, Larry Payne and wife Sonya of Tuscola; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bessie Mae Murray; and three brothers.
