Felony Offenders Sentenced in District Court

BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Nicholas Joe Castenada, on probation for the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone, was revoked and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Robert Lee Howard Brookbank, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation, was adjudicated and sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal justice, Institutional Division.

Alyssa Roann Chick, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Justin Reynolds, on probation for the felony offense of Assault-Occlusion, was adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Johnny Lino Garcia, on probation for the felony offense of Prohibited Weapons-Weapons Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Garcia, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone, was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  These sentences run consecutively.

Mohammed Hassen Mehdi pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity-Forgery and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
