One person suffered minor injuries as a result of an accident at the intersection of Coggin Avenue and Hwy 377 South on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m., between a Pontiac Grand Am and a small Ford truck.  It appeared the Grand Am collided with the rear of the Ford in one of the northbound lanes at the traffic light.

The driver of the Grand Am was transported to the hospital with minor injuries according to emergency responders on scene.  The driver of the Ford was uninjured and able to drive away from the scene.  The Grand Am was towed from the scene of the accident, having suffered significant front-end damage.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Allegiance EMS responded to the scene.
