United Supermarkets and United Express Convenience Store Opening in Brownwood June 17

UnitedLogoThe United Family leadership team will join Brownwood community leaders to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s newest United Supermarkets and United Express fuel and convenience store at 300 E. Commerce on Wednesday, June 17 at 9 a.m.

The grand opening ceremony of the 42,648 square-foot supermarket and 1,472 square-foot convenience store will include a $10,000 check presentation to Good Samaritan Ministries, as well as a $1,200 donation to the Austin Avenue Church of Christ.

United leadership and community leaders in attendance will include Robert Taylor, CEO, The United Family; Mark Yowell, Regional Vice President, The United Family; Lynn Day, store director, United Supermarkets; Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes; Emily Crawford, Brownwood EDC Executive Director; and Ray Tipton, Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.

The United Supermarkets features a large selection of fresh cut fruits and vegetables, fresh meat and seafood and experienced meat cutters, as well as a walk-in beer cooler, and drive-thru pharmacy. In addition to a four-pump (eight dispenser) fuel station, the United Express store will offer standard convenience items, as well as fresh salads, sandwiches, desserts and other items made fresh daily in the primary store.

The store will open for business at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17th as well.  The new United Supermarket is located at 300 E. Commerce in Brownwood.
