Brownwood Juneteenth Jubilation Set for June 19-20

juneteenthlogoThe Annual Brownwood Juneteenth Jubilation will be held on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20th offering family friendly activities.  The festivities will be held at the Bennie Houston Community Center and Cecil Holman Park in Brownwood.

According to organizers, there will be family fun events such as the “Old School Vs. New School” softball game along with free hot dogs on Friday from 4-6 p.m. and a kids’ talent show (ages 1-18) on Saturday from 4-5 p.m.  In addition, there will be a free bounce house, a car show, and lots of other fun and games.

Enjoy music by DJ Jason Anderson also known as  DJ “J” Bird and hamburgers, smoked turkey legs and pork chops,which will be sold at the event.

The Bennie Houston Community Center is located at 505 Cordell and the Cecil Holman Park is located at 1100 Hall Street in Brownwood.
