Wednesday Morning Pharmacy Burglaries Thought to be Connected

SuspectSurveillance1Brownwood Police are investigating an early Wednesday morning burglary where a large quantity of medication was stolen from Doc’s Drug Store on Hwy 377.

According to Brownwood Police Department, the burglary at Doc’s occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m., where a large quantity of specific high powered narcotic medication was targeted and stolen.  Suspect(s) were in and out in a very short time, police said.  The estimated street value of the medication stolen is probably upwards of $50,000 according to investigators.

A similar burglary occurred at Tanglewood Pharmacy in Stephenville which could be connected.  Around 3:00 a.m., two hours before the Brownwood burglary, unknown suspect(s) entered Tanglewood Pharmacy and removed property and merchandise. This burglary is under investigation by the Stephenville Police.

The burglaries are very similar according to police and may be connected.

Anyone with information regarding the Doc’s Drug Store burglary are asked to contact Detective Joe Aaron Taylor the Brownwood Police Department by calling 325-646-8060.
