Monday, June 8

*8:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue D regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*12:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue J regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant previously called the police earlier this morning regarding a bicycle that she found laying in the roadway in front of her residence.  This second call was a result of a vehicle key being taken from her vehicle.

Tuesday, June 9

*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Porter Street to verify a sex offender’s registration.  As a result of this visit, a warrant is being sought for an offender’s failure to comply with sex offender requirements.

*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding an incident of fraud/forgery against the elderly.

*6:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a possible sexual assault of a child.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*8:53 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of theft of services from a restaurant located on Hwy 279.  According to the report, the suspect tried to pay for her meal along with that of several other persons that were with her using a check; however, the restaurant does not accept checks.  The suspect told the complainant that she would go cash a check nearby and return with the cash for the meals, the report states.   According to the complainant, the suspect never returned to pay.

*9:48 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Wesley Street.  According to the report, during the stop a prohibited weapon was found inside the vehicle.  This stop led to the arrest of 25-year-old Ashley Joanna Martinez of Brownwood for possession of a prohibited weapon.

*9:56 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding drugs/narcotics.  A caller reported the smell of marijuana coming from a truck at the location.  The officer located the truck with a male subject inside.  This call led to the arrest of the male, identified as 19-year-old Colin Scott Walker of Early, for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Gregory James Arguello of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 20-year-old Mary Elizabeth Hanson of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft from person enhanced.  Hanson was released on $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Royce Phillips on warrants related to delivery of dangerous drug and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Brody Plunkett of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Nathan Ray Prosise, Jr. of Brownwood on warrant for unsafe speed.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 45-year-old Britt Wade Stevens of Brownwood for burglary of a building.

*Brownwood Police arrested 46-year-old Amelia Denise Thompson of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Kasey Tillery of Sweetwater on warrants related to failure to appear/assault family violence and assault family violence.

Wednesday, June 10

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Israel Mendoza Arriaga of Brownwood on warrants related to no seat belt, failure to maintain financial responsibility and expired motor vehicle registration.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Stevie Lee Rose of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
