MembershipDinner

The Brown County Fair Association hosted their annual member appreciation dinner at the home economics building of the Brown County Fair Grounds Monday evening.  Hundreds of attendees enjoyed a meal of pulled pork sandwiches or wraps along with cole slaw, jalapenos, pickles, chips and drinks.

Membership in the Brown County Fair Association supports not only the upkeep of the fairground facilities but also supports the youth of Brown County through the annual Youth Fair and premium sale.  Many exhibitors use their premium funds to travel to major stock shows and to save for college.

Memberships are available from BCFA board members for an annual fee of $20.  Click here for more information about the BCFA, Brown County Rodeo and Brown County Youth Fair.

The Brown County Rodeo will be held June 4th – 6th with nightly performances beginning at 8:00 p.m. each night at the Earl Q. Wilson Arena in Brownwood on Hwy 377 South.  Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Advanced ticket are just $8 for adults and $6 for children and are available at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Citizen’s National Bank, Texas Bank, Scott’s Western Wear, Harry’s in San Saba, Diamond R Store & Café in Zephyr and KOXE Radio.  Tickets at the gate are $10 for adults and $8 for children.  Thursday is Military Night and all military men and women in uniform or presenting a military ID will be given complimentary admission.

Entertainment during the rodeo will be provided by rodeo clown Ronald Burton and the Lone Star Chicks.  T.C. Long will be this year’s announcer.

As a major component to the rodeo each year, the Brown County Rodeo Parade will travel through Downtown Brownwood and feature a wide assortment of entries. Entry forms are now being accepted for the parade which will take place Saturday, June 6th at 10 AM.

The annual rodeo dance will be held 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 6th at the rodeo grounds and will feature Mike Ryan and Phil Hamilton.

The Brown County Rodeo is sanctioned by the UPRA, CPRA, TCRA and CRRA.
