FaetcheFuneral services for Shirley Faetche, 83, of Brownwood will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 30th at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Wharton, Texas on Sunday at 5:00 PM in Wharton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Mrs. Faetche died Wednesday at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab.

Shirley Christie was born March 15, 1932 in Houston to Gladys Biggs Christie and Donald Christie. She was married to Albert Faetche, Jr. on August 22, 1952 in Wharton, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Home Economics in 1954. She was sometimes a stay-at-home mom, a school teacher, and a secretary in her husband’s business. She was also an accomplished cook and seamstress. She was always active in her church and many activities there.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Albert, her children Albert Faetche III, Jean Marie Collier, and Chris Faetche. Her grandchildren are Christopher Collier, Jenna Collier, Lauren Collier, Claire Faetche, and Sarah Faetche, and two great-grandchildren, Raegan and Aiden Collier. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Gladys Christie, her sister Peggy Fuchs, and her brother, Bill Christie.

Arrangements under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home, Brownwood, TX.
