The Early Chamber of Commerce hosted its 5th Annual Spring Swing Golf Tournament on May 15 & 16 at The Hideout. The event started Friday evening with 9 holes of day-golf followed by a hamburger buffet served by the club.

Immediately after dinner and door prizes, glow-in-the dark golf balls, necklaces & sticks in a variety of colors were brought out by The Hideout and 9 holes of night-golf were played. The F & M Bank Team won the night-golf round. The night-golf scores were not included in the total of the tournament scores. Saturday morning all teams returned to finish the tournament.

The Heart of Texas Flooring Team (Johnny Storey, Jeff Storey, Mike Hall, and Jessie Carrasco), pictured above, won 1st place with a cash payout of $1200. Twinkle City Team (Korey Morris, David Evans, Landon Westerman, and Kobey Morris) won 2nd place with a cash payout of $900. Golfmart Team (Phil Fenton, Wayne Fenton, Tom Hale, and Frank Allgood) won 3rd place with a cash payout of $700.
