Early Police reported that employees of a local car dealership discovered a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of the business when they arrived to work Thursday morning and found a woman slumped over inside.  The call came in at 7:15 a.m.  When officers arrived, it was determined that the woman had a gunshot wound to her temple and was deceased, according to Early Chief of Police David Mercer.

The body was sent to the Travis County medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and an investigation is ongoing, according to Mercer.  He said that although it is early in the investigation, the gunshot wound appears to be self-inflicted.

Although no identification of the woman has been released, Mercer confirmed that the deceased was a 25-year-old woman from Brownwood.
