RecaGodfreyAmbassadorApril2015Early Chamber of Commerce selected Reca Godfrey for their April Ambassador of the month during their May meeting.

Godfrey has been a resident of this area for over 50 years.  She and her husband, Grant Godfrey, both graduated from Blanket High School.

Godfrey has been a co-owner of Cullen’s Hometown Market since it was reopened in 2011 and has been employed by Early ISD for 21 years.  She was an elementary counselor for 10 years, a high school counselor for 10 years and is now the Chief Academic Officer for the district.

“The school district is one of the largest businesses in Early and is richly supported by the local businesses,” said Godfrey.  “We enjoy every opportunity we get to increase the tie between the school district, businesses, and the community.”

Godfrey expressed her pride in serving as an ambassador stating, “I am extremely proud to be a part of the Early Chamber of Commerce and honored to be selected as this month’s Ambassador of the month.”

The Early Chamber of Commerce staff expressed their appreciation of the volunteer work that ambassadors do and for the support they give to the community.
