Thursday, May 21

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence in May regarding the theft of medication, methadone and hydrocodone.

Tuesday, May 26

*8:23 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a male subject who was wearing a blue shirt and basketball shorts, allegedly attempting to enter different residences and vehicles, according to the report.  This call led to the arrest of 17-year-old Caleb Crouch of Brownwood for public intoxication, the report states.

*12:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of W. Main Avenue regarding a stolen Boer goat had been taken from the complainant’s property.  According to the report, the complainant believed the theft occurred shortly after the storms passed through on May 25th.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*12:44 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a theft in progress at a convenience store on Belle Plain.  According to the report, a suspect was identified and located; however it was determined that no theft had occurred.   A criminal trespass warning was issued to the suspect at the request of management.

*2:42 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of 7th Street.  The incident was documented, the report states.

*3:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce, regarding animal cruelty.  According to the report, a distressed dog was locked in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.  The animal control officer was contacted and the incident was documented, the report states.

*4:31 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated she was being harassed by her ex-husband through text messages.

*8:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue D regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown male subject had contacted her daughter and she wished to file charges.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Cameron Allen Botts of May on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces equal or less than 5 pounds, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53-year-old Gary Wayne Morris of Santa Anna on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Rayla Dawn Rice of Coleman on warrants for surety withdrawals related to abandon/endanger child criminal negligence, tamper/fabricate physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 equal or greater than 400 grams.  Rice was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $45,000 as of Wednesday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Darrell Lloyd Richardson of Fort Worth on a warrant related to theft enhanced.

Wednesday, May 27

*2:06 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Vincent Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant woke to find that his vehicle had been stolen.

*Potters County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Adrian Isaac Castillo of Brownwood on warrants related to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to appear/accident involving damage to vehicle equal or less than $200.  Castillo was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $9500 as of Wednesday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Joe Monroe of Friona, Texas on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/driving while intoxicated.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
