McMillianWatsonOn May 28th at 6 p.m. The Pecan Valley Republican Women will be hosting a forum for incumbent Eddie Watson and challenger Ed McMillian as they compete for the Brownwood City Council Ward 2 seat in the runoff election on June 13th.  The forum will be held at the Lehnis Railroad Museum located at 700 East Adams Street.

Watson and McMillian will each be given 10 to 15 minutes to tell the voters in the community about themselves and why they believe they should be elected to serve on the Brownwood City Council.  They will then answer questions submitted in writing before or at the forum which will be presented to Leland Acker who will be serving as the moderator.  Questions are encouraged ahead of time and can be submitted to [email protected].

Early voting for the runoff election will begin June 1st with an election day of June 13th.  Public parking is available in the lot in front of the “new” Fire Station and additional parking lots are also available on Washington and Congress.  Refreshments will be served.
