UnitedLogoUnited Supermarkets will host a job fair Wednesday, May 20 through Saturday, May 23 to select team members for the new store in Brownwood at 300 East Commerce. Scheduled to open June 17, the store will bring as many as 200 new jobs to the Brownwood community.

Job seekers can visit Austin Avenue Church of Christ at 1020 Austin Ave. Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to submit an application for employment and begin the interview process. Positions will be available throughout the store, including department clerks, bakers, cooks, stockers, meat cutters, checkers and sackers.

“We will conduct the complete hiring process at the job fair – from interviews to extending job offers and completing paperwork,” said Shannon Elrod, director of talent management for The United Family, parent company of United Supermarkets. “We are excited to open Brownwood’s first United Supermarkets and proud to bring additional jobs to this community.”

United Supermarkets’ team members receive a number of competitive advantages, including:

  • · Weekly pay
  • · Comprehensive benefits package
  • · Management and supervisor career paths
  • · Flexible schedules
  • · Hands-on training program focused on career development
  • · College savings program
  • · Vacation, personal days and holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Although walk-ins are welcome, job seekers can speed up the process by completing an online application prior to the job fair at http://www.unitedsupermarkets.com/jobfair.
