baloon_liftoff12_2The Bereaved Parents Support Group will hold its annual Balloon Lift Off at Coggin Park, Tuesday, May 19th at 7 PM, on the comer of 1st Street and Parkway. This yearly event allows grieving loved ones the chance to send their love to heaven on a note inside a helium-filled balloon.

The Bereaved Parents Support Group provides everything for those participating with the exception of the personal note the balloon sender encloses in the balloon (the lighter the paper the better). Organizers explain that this event is a chance for entire families to gather and send their love to heaven.

Also at 6 PM, on the opposite corner (picnic side) of the park, those participating are invited to meet for an informal finger food supper. Everyone is asked to bring enough for their family and one more person.  Paper products, water and desserts will be furnished. Organizers encourage participants to bring anything their family likes to eat and the group will share a meal together.

For more information about the Bereaved Parents Support Group or the balloon lift off, please contact LaFreda Kilburn by calling 325-998-1567.
