Nell Hart

Nell Hart, age 96, of Coleman, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at Coleman County Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Nellie Mae Pricer on September 13, 1918 in Bell County, Texas, a daughter of John Thomas Pricer and Dollie Brothers Pricer.   She moved with her family to Coleman in 1926 and she attended school in Voss, Anderson and Silver Valley.  On October 8, 1939 she married Haden B. Hart in Dewey, Texas and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1993.  Nell was a housewife and mother but she also worked as a cook at the school, hospital and nursing home.  She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Cross Plains.

Survivors include three sons, Tommy Hart and wife Joy of Corsicana, Claude Hart and wife Judy of Kingsbury, Bobby Hart and wife Elfredia of Mineral Wells; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters, Joe Pricer, Grady Pricer, Bert  Pricer, Pearl Bonner, Lillie Pricer, Lon Pricer, Bill Pricer, Johnny Pricer, Luke Pricer and Mamie Pricer

Memorials may be made to any hospice organization.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan, Coleman, Texas.
