MathisAnnie Jewell Mathis, 99, of Brownwood, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Brownwood, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery, in Bronte, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, May 8, 2015, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood, TX.

Annie Jewell Brock Mathis was born November 6, 1915, to Samuel and Mabelle (Combest) Brock, in Bronte, TX. First and foremost, Annie was a Christian and she dearly loved the Lord. She was also an accomplished cook and enjoyed making people happy with her food. Annie also loved her family and looked forward to spending as much time with them as she could. Annie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and she will be dearly missed by all those knew her.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; J.B. Pairish, Nate Smith and Sterling Mathis; 3 brothers, Howard Brock, Hiram Brock, John “Jay” Brock; her sister, Louzelle “Tootsie” Brock.

Annie leaves behind her son, Janson Pairish; step-daughter, Cindi Lindsey; 2 grandchildren, Shane Pairish and Melanie Lopez and husband Jacob; 4 great-grandchildren, Byron Lopez and wife Taylor, Blake Lopez, Baylee Lopez and Joseph Casillias and wife Mayra; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Kyndal Lopez, Jennesis Casillias, Naylene Casillias, and Jovani Casillias; nephew, Stanley Daulong and wife Kay; great-nephew, Lee Daulong; as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
