AgriLifeExtensionThe second program in the 2015 Lunch-N-Learn series will be held from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at the Brown County Extension Office, located at 605 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood. This program will focus on garden/landscape insect pest management.

Dr. Charles Allen, Extension Entomology Specialist from San Angelo will be the speaker. Controlling insect pests in a vegetable garden or even around the landscape requires some thought. No one wants to randomly apply pesticides to the food we eat or around our houses. Plus the list of insecticides labeled for vegetable garden use us limited. Now is your chance to find out how is the best method of controlling insect pests. This program is open to anyone interested.

There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door for this May 14th program. For those who want to attend all of the remaining Lunch-N-Learn horticultural programs this year the registration fee is $25.  For those who attended the first program last month and paid the $25,  their registration is covered for all of the remaining Lunch-N-Learn series. For more information contact the Brown County Extension Office at 325-646-0386.
