BHS_Choir_MothersDayBHS Choir students will be delivering Mother’s Day Singing Telegrams on Friday, May 8th and Saturday, May 9th.

The telegrams will be available for purchase from BHS Choir students beginning Thursday, April 30th, as a fundraiser for the choir.

Singing telegrams may be delivered in person in Brown County for $20 each, or can be delivered by phone for $5 each.

Last year BHS Choir students delivered thirty-three (33) singing telegrams to mothers, grandmothers, mothers-in law, aunts, and even a favorite teacher. Recipients ranged geographically from those living in the Brownwood area, to those as far away as Houston, New Braunfels, and even Arkansas.

“Choir students quickly learned last year that the words they were singing were quite meaningful to the women receiving the singing telegrams,” stated BHS Choir Director Cindy Franklin in an article advertising the fundraiser. “Most women receiving the gift of song were tearful as they listened to the lyrics that included thanks to each mother.”

To order a Mother’s Day 2015 Singing Telegram, contact any BHS Choir Member, or by filling out one of the downloadable order forms available here.

Orders may be turned in to any BHS Choir member, and must be submitted by Thursday, May 7th.

For questions please contact BHS Choir Director, Cindy Franklin at 325-646-9549 or by email at cindy.franklin@brownwoodisd.org.
