BMPALogoBrownwood Municipal Police Association (BMPA) will host a brisket fundraiser to benefit Brownwood Police Officer Brian Rice’s family on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Allsup’s, located at 3480 S. US Hwy 377 in Brownwood.

Officer Rice’s newborn son Joshua is in the neonatal intensive care unit in Fort Worth.  He has been there due to many complications which arose during his mother’s pregnancy and after his birth.  Another surgery is needed and it will be many months before baby Joshua will be able to come home, according to BMPA officials.

The Officer’s Association is hosting the fundraiser to assist with the needs of the family and help offset the mounting financial burden the family is facing.

Brisket plates will be offered for $8 a plate, which will include brisket, beans potato salad, bread, onions, pickles and a drink.  BBQ sales will begin at 10:00 a.m. and plates will be sold until 3:00 pm or until all food is gone. Preorders may be made until April 17, 2015 and food will be sold at the event.  Delivery is available and plates may be ordered prior to the event.  To preorder or for delivery, please contact one of the following:

Fred (325)642-3735
Kimberly (832)701-8511
Tracey (325)642 7853
Robert (325)642 1642
