RoseRayFuneral services for Ray Rose, age 77, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.  Mr. Rose passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Heart Hospital in Austin, Texas.

Kendell Ray Rose was born on July 10, 1937 in Iraan, Texas to Austin Andrew Lee Rose and Jessie Ann Craig Rose.  He was a 1955 graduate of Fort Stockton High School and was married to Patsy Redd in Carlsbad, New Mexico on July 4, 1959.  Ray was a rancher and had been a resident of Brown County for the majority of his life.

Survivors include his wife of 56 year Patsy Rose of Brownwood; one son Doug Rose and wife Jackie of Brownwood; one daughter Brenda Rose of Cuero; two grandchildren Danielle Rose of Brownwood and John Rose of Stephenville; one great granddaughter Salem; one sister Jean Landers of Escondido, California and his granddog Brady.

He was preceded in death by his parents A.A. and Jessie Rose; one sister Helen Prieskorn and two brothers Hollis and Kenneth Rose.
