The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a reception this Thursday, April 2nd from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM at the Chamber of Commerce to welcome the new Membership Director, Ruth Willis, to the Chamber team. Ruth has worked for the City of Brownwood and the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation where she served for 5 years as an Assistant to the City Manager and Project Manager.

She is involved with multiple civic organizations and currently serves as the President of both the Mid-Tex Human Resources Association and the United Way of Brown County. She brings her experience in the fields of business management and relationships, workforce development and community service. A native of San Antonio, she is a graduate of Howard Payne University and relocated back to Brownwood in 2010.

“I have a heart for Brownwood and this community, and I look forward to meeting and reconnecting with local businesses to identify how the Chamber can better serve its membership and the community, as well as get more people and groups involved in community events,” Willis said. “I guarantee this will be exciting year for the Chamber and its members, and I’m thrilled to be a part of such great team and organization.”
