KiwanisChildpicA fundraiser fish and chicken lunch and dinner will be served by the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club on Thursday, April 23rd at the Adams Street Community Center in Brownwood.

Meals will be served for $9 a plate during the hours of 11:00 am-1:00 pm and 4:30 pm-7:00 pm.   Tickets will be available at the door, at KOXE, at KXYL, or from any Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club Member.  Meals are available for dine-in or carry out.   Entertainment will be provided by Island Phil.

The meal consists of fried fish, fried chicken or combo plate, French fries, slaw, onions, ice tea, water, condiments and dessert (as long as they last).  E.T. Catering of Brookesmith (Elmer Tabor and crew) will be catering the event.  Desserts will be furnished by the Early Middle School Builder’s Club and Early High School Key Club.

All proceeds from this event benefit the children of Brownwood, Early and the surrounding communities.  Proceeds raised remain in the community to help fund various kid related activities such as the Boys & Girls Club, Head Start, D.A.R.E. and many others.  The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club also funds scholarships each year to deserving area students.  The amount of these contributions and scholarships given depend on how much the Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club is able to raise at these types of events.

For more information, contact Don Holland at 325-998-2058 or any Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club member.
