Monday, March 30

*4:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 7th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had stolen her flat screen television.  An investigation is underway, the report states.

Tuesday, March 31

*3:33 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a coin operated Dr. Pepper machine.

*11:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine.  According to the report, an unknown subject broke into the Dr. Pepper vending machine and stole dollar bills.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*12:52 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Durham Avenue.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of the 17-year-old driver for possession of marijuana.

*2:07 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the theft of a wallet.

*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 10th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an unknown subject struck her vehicle with a rock.

*3:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Bowie Circle for an agency assist.  During the investigation with other agencies, narcotics were located.  31-year-old Tiffany Jean Kite of Brownwood was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and 24-year-old Ronald Nathan Shannon of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a rug free zone, the report states.

*7:15 PM – Brownwood Police received a complaint by telephone regarding fraud.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had used his identification on a traffic stop.  The incident is being investigated, the report states.

*8:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Avenue E regarding an assault.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Dylan Bendt of Brownwood on a warrant related to sexual assault of a child.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Kevin Dwayne Caudle of Brownwood on a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Joshua Dalton Maxwell of Abilene on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Roberta Spencer of Brownwood for criminal trespass.

Wednesday, April 1

*4:47 PM –Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding trespassing.  According to the report, a subject allegedly attempted to steal a package of Honey Ham deli meat from the store.  The subject was issued a citation and then released from the scene, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Derek J. Brown of Brownwood for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
