Care Nursing and Rehab recognized Dr. David Morales, Medical Director on Friday, in honor of their facility’s celebration of National Doctor’s Day. This day annually recognizes the service of physicians to the nation.
Dr. Morales has been Care Nursing and Rehab’s Medical Director for the past five years. He moved to Brownwood in 1995 and was a founding partner in the Heart of Texas Internal Medicine Associates PA. He and his wife Peggy Morales, a teacher at Early ISD, have three boys, David, a high school student, Johnathon, an 8th grader and Michael, a 4th grader, all three attend Early ISD. He and his family attend St. Mary’s Catholic Church and despite his demanding medical career as a hospitalist at Brownwood Medical Center, his private practice and his service to the nursing home, he coaches sports teams for Early and the city leagues.
“We are glad he has honored Care Nursing and Rehab with his professional time and talent and we wanted to give this plaque as a small token of our appreciation,” said Jodie Armstrong, Marketing & Admissions Director at Care Nursing and Rehab.
National Doctor’s Day, March 30th, is commonly celebrated in healthcare organizations as a day to recognize the contributions of doctors to individual lives and communities. Doctors are the backbone of a hospital, save lives and treat patients. Dealing with the ill or injured is only one part of their job, working with family members and friends to manage the expectations and hope is another difficult part of their daily obligations. Doctors work long shifts, tirelessly treating patient after patient, all in hopes of one thing, improving their condition. Working with a team of health care professionals, they are the field generals who will take the good with the bad.
This event offers their coworkers, friends, family and patients the opportunity to reach out and give a special “thank you” to the physicians who make a difference in their lives.
