The Brownwood Jaycees are getting set to kick-off the 2015 Lone Star Fair & Expo and Rattlesnake Round-up on March 20-22 at the Brownwood Coliseum.

The “Texas Snake Man” and star of the Animal Planet Show “Rattlesnake Republic,” Jackie Bibby, will be back to perform daredevil stunts such as the sleeping bag full of rattlers and putting multiple snakes in his mouth.  Bibby is known for breaking several world records involving rattlesnakes.

There will be contests that are a spectacle to make most anyone shake in their boots with lots of rattlesnakes and people willing to play with them.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be given for the Longest Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake at the end of the event.

During the Lone Star Fair & Expo, there will be several events involving rattlesnakes along with arts, crafts & collectibles from a variety of approximately 75 vendors, educational programs, and live music by Bob Brewer and Friends.

The Jaycees will have a food booth featuring items such as fried rattlesnake, sausage on a stick, chili cheese nachos and fries, fried Oreos, shaved ice and soft drinks will be available.

Carnival rides will be open Friday 3PM – 12 AM, Saturday, 10AM – 12 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 noon – 11PM.  Wristband prices at the carnival will be $20 on Friday then $25 on Saturday and Sunday.
