Brownwood Fire Department – Fire & Rescue Reports 3/11

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the period of March 2-8, 2015 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 24 medical emergencies, 4 fire calls, 1 hazardous materials call and 2 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest that the Brownwood Fire Department responded to include:

Monday, March 2

*BFD responded to a 2-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Main Street.

Wednesday, March 4

*1:17 PM – BFD responded to an ATV accident with injuries in the area of Victoria Street and Baker Street.

Thursday, March 5

*2:46 PM – BFD was dispatched to a gas leak in the 2600 block of Avenue E.

*7:50 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the area of W. Baker Cordell regarding arcing and a wire that had shorted.

*10:20 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 300 block of Bluffview Dr.  Firefighters arrived to find an outside rubbish/trash fire.

Friday, March 6

*8:08 AM – BFD responded to a fire call in the 100 block of Boyette after assistance was requested by Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department for a building fire.  Fire crews assisted with extinguish the fire.

*7:56 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2400 block of Songbird Circle.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  The incident was determined to be a false alarm and the alarm was reset.
