Howard Payne junior guard Danyel Bradley was named Player of the Year the league office announced in conjunction with the release of the 2015 American Southwest Conference Women’s Basketball All-Conference teams on Monday (March 2), following a vote of the league’s head coaches.

ASC PLAYER OF THE YEAR – FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE – ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM
Danyel Bradley, a two-time all-conference selection, finished the regular season as the leading scorer in Division III with 22.3 points per game. Her 602 points overall are the most scored by an ASC player in a single season since former Howard Payne player and current coach of the Lady Jackets, Meia Daniels, set the conference record in 2008 (649). The only ASC player to record more than 1,000 minutes on the floor (1,018), Bradley ranked in the top 10 in six league categories. In addition to leading the ASC in scoring, Bradley also held top marks in steals (93), ranked third in free throw percentage (.831), fourth in field goal percentage (.449) and ninth in assists (3.1).

ASC ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM
Kalin Hanna was named Defensive Player of the Year for a second consecutive season after leading the ASC in blocks for the second year in a row. Hanna set the conference record last year for most blocks in a season with 89 and broke her own record this year with 90. She finished the regular season ranked ninth in Division III in blocks per game (3.38).

HONORABLE MENTION ALL-CONFERENCE
Sarah Van Remmen was second on the team this season with 11.8 points per game and lead the team with 8.0 rebounds per game (5th overall in ASC). She recorded four double doubles this year along with a season high 25 points in the Lady Jackets first round ASC tournament victory over Hardin-Simmons.

ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
Dominique Featherstone started 10 games of 20 played in for Howard Payne after an injury delayed the start of her season. She scored a season high 13 points versus Hardin-Simmons and was fourth on the team in steals with 23.
