BeatyFuneral services Billy Ray Beaty, age 82, of Santa Anna, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Grosvenor Baptist Church with David Barnum officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00.

Mr. Beaty died Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Abilene.

Bill was born on May 23, 1932 in Lorenzo to L. C. and Vera Vern (Park) Beaty.  He graduated from Lorenzo High School.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict where he flew fifty missions as a tail gunner.  He received the Distinguished Flying Cross in September 1952.  He was a Life Member of the American Legion.  He was also a member of Grosvenor Baptist Church.

Bill married Ann Odom on February 11, 1967 in Crosbyton.  They moved to the Santa Anna area in 1989.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Beaty of Santa Anna, a daughter, Alexia Jo Keith and husband Roy of Lamesa, a son, Perry Lee Beaty and wife Dina of Anton, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
