Lake Brownwood Community Development Council will hold their quarterly meeting on Monday, March 2nd at the Flagship Inn on Lake Brownwood.  The event will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the hotel.  The public is invited to attend and membership is not required.

Dr. Paul Burns will be the featured speaker.  He will address “How to Restore a Ranch and the Effect a Wind Farm Would Have on Our County.”  Paul and his wife, Toni are owners and operators of The Colonel Burns Ranch in Brown County.  They are past recipients of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Lone Star Land Steward Award.  The Burns family has worked the last 25 years restoring their family ranch back to its native habitat.  Seeing the ranch is like going back in time before this land was settled with areas of tall prairie grass and old growth native trees, and multiple springs flowing.
