Brownwood Fire Department – Fire & Rescue Reports 2/25

BFDlogoSmallReports released for the period of February 16-22, 2015 from the Brownwood Fire Department include 32 medical emergencies, 3 fire calls, and 3 motor vehicle accidents.

Reports of interest that the Brownwood Fire Department responded to include:

Wednesday, February 18

*4:47 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue.

*9:31 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in at the intersection of Crockett Drive and South US Hwy 377.

*9:44 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1400 block of 3rd Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from second floor of the structure.  Fire crews found a small fire and extinguished it quickly.

Thursday, February 19

*7:34 PM – BFD was called to a fire on County Road 267.

Saturday, February 21

*9:10 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at County Road 135 and Hwy 279.  Firefighters assisted EMS with packaging and loading the patient for transport.

Sunday, February 22

*3:13 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of Stewart Street.  Firefighters investigated the location due to the smell of smoke but no source could be located. Power was shut off to the house and the residents went elsewhere for the night.
