LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

Friday, February 20

*2:10 PM – The Brownwood ISD resource officer was called to the Brownwood High School regarding an assault.  According to the report, this call led to a female student being taken into custody for assault with injury.  The female was then taken to the Brownwood Police Department for processing and then released to the custody of a juvenile probation officer.

*5:37 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2700 block of Greenway Drive regarding a domestic disturbance which involved a physical altercation between a male and a female.  This call led to the arrest of William Nickerson for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*10:41 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of W. Baker Street regarding a possible assault.  According to the report, an investigation was begun and led to a suspect being identified; however, the victim’s identity along with the date and time of the offense was unclear.

Saturday, February 21

*12:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that four wheels and tires were stolen off of his Ford F-150 pickup.  However, during an investigation, the officer learned the complainant had actually sold the wheels and tires to his landlord, the report states.  A report for false report to a police officer was filed.

*8:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Avenue G regarding drugs/narcotics.  According to the report, consent was given to search the residence and drug paraphernalia was located.  One citation for possession of drug paraphernalia was issued, the report states.

Monday, February 23

*12:06 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, no arrests were made at the time of the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Paula Arteaga of Brownfield, Texas on warrants related to unrestrained child and violate promise to appear.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 30-year-old Carrie Lyn Cox of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft.

*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Debora Elizabeth Mallone of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*37-year-old Cindy Lou Mayes of Zephyr turned herself in on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.

*37-year-old Richard Heath Mayes of Zephyr turned himself in on a warrants related to related to assault causes bodily injury and family violence.

*25-year-old Kelli Danielle Smyton of Bangs turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
