MillerCardinalsJerseyCherryPieAuction2015

Organizers are getting ready the annual Cherry Pie Auction set for Saturday, February 21st, from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Adams Street Community Center.

The auction, which began in 1977, raises money for Brownwood area youth sports, including: Teenage Baseball; Freshmen League Baseball; Girls’ Softball; Cen-Tex soccer; and Soccer For Fun.  Last year, the auction raised just over $18,000 for these groups.

The event, which will also be aired live on 101.3 KOXE, will feature hundreds of items ranging from food and automotive goods & services to the always popular sports memorabilia and everything in between.  Among the sports items will be an autographed St. Louis Cardinal road jersey, worn during the play-offs last year by former Lion Standout, now Atlanta Brave pitcher Shelby Miller (picture); lots of Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers signed items and much more.  If you have an item you’d like to donate, call or go by the Adams street community center, or call KOXE at 325-646-3505.

Pictured above is the Miller Cardinal road jersey which will be up for auction.
