Law Enforcement Blotter 2/12

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Wednesday, February 11

*7:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Woodridge Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that around 10:00 PM the previous night, she heard a crash with multiple pellets hitting the floor.  The next morning, she discovered the front windows of her home along with windows of her vehicle had been shot with a BB gun.

*9:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 10th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, someone had stolen a power washer and a window air conditioning unit from outside of his home.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*10:14 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Carriage Lane regarding criminal trespass of a habitation and retaliation by a known suspect.

*11:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding criminal trespass.  According to the report, a male subject, who was identified as 33-year-old Alexis Rodriguez of Brownwood, was located in the parking lot and found to have an active criminal trespass warning.  Rodriguez was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.

*5:54 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding an assault.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Jorge Luis Estrada Avila of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Ismael Herrera of Coleman on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Richard William Ray, Jr.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joshua Dewayne Smith on warrants related to engage in organized criminal activity, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and surety withdrawals related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault family violence.  Smith is being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $102,500.

*38-year-old Moretta L. Watson of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to assault family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Shane Ross Wood of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a dangerous drug.

*The Brownwood Marshal arrested Cody Ray Zabel of Early on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Thursday, February 12

*Early Police arrested 34-year-old Joshua Noah Hashbarger of Early for failure to register out of state vehicle and failure to obtain Texas driver’s license.

*Brownwood Police arrested 52-year-old Timothy Owens of Brownwood on a parole violation.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
