Elizabeth Lowther, 63, of Rising Star, passed away Thursday February 5, 2015 in Abilene, TX. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. February 10, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Rising Star, TX.

Barbara Elizabeth was born May 18, 1951 in Winston-Salem, NC, to Gilbert Anderson, Sr. and Gladys Huey Anderson. After graduating high school, she attended xxxxx College. Elizabeth was a wonderful cook making everyone happy with her special biscuits at breakfast time. She loved to knit and made many people happy with the items she gave as gifts at special events. Elizabeth was very funny and had a great sense of humor. The grandchildren loved the afternoons following school when Elizabeth kept them until time to go home. All of the kids, friends of her children, thought she was the “best Mom” and liked spending time around her.  Elizabeth loved animals, especially cats. She had one, “Miss Kitty” for 15-16 years.

Elizabeth is survived by children, Amber, Ervin Jr., Adam, Robert, and Stephanie; grandchildren, Philip, Issac, and Abagail; brothers, Gilbert and George. She was preceded in death by her parents.
