Funeral Services for Mary Furry of Grosvenor, Texas will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 PMat the Heartland Funeral Home in Early with Pastor David Barnum officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary Beth Davis Furry passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2015 surronded by her family and friends. She was born April 24, 1935 in Colorado City, Texas to Earl and Myrl Davis. Mary was married to Howell Furry on August 1, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Mary was an active mother to their three children Mike, Marihelen and Brad. She also pursued her lifelong passion for canvas and detailed china painting and won numerous awards for her work and was a member of the Heart of Texas Porcelain Art Club.
Mary and Howell moved from Andrews, Texas to Grosvenor, Texas in 1982 where they enjoyed the country life. They also enjoyed their membership with Grosvenor Baptist Church.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Myrl Davis. She is survived by her husband Howell Furry of 63 years; children Michael Furry, MarihelenBremerman, Bradley Furry and wife Penelope; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
