The American Southwest Conference today announced its weekly player of the week awards and Howard Payne men’s basketball player Brandon Gould was honored as the Player of the Week.
Senior guard Brandon Gould averaged 24.0 points in wins over Texas Dallas and ASC leader Hardin-Simmons. Gould scored 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds with five assists in the UTD win. Gould then followed that up with 31 points on 12-of-15 (.800) shooting, five rebounds and seven assists at HSU. He was 4-of-5 from behind the arc and 6-of-7 from the line for the week. His 31-point performance was just one point shy of tying his career high of 32 points.
