DayKennethE. Kenneth Day, age 81, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015.  A visitation will be held 2:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2014 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Cremation is under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born February 14, 1933 to Elmer Coy and Quincy Eland Day at home near Gouldbusk, Texas, he attended school at Gouldbusk Elementary and High School at Mozelle where he graduated in 1949.  Kenneth served his country with honor in Korea during the Korean War and eight years in the Reserves.

Kenneth leaves behind his wife Dianne and four children, Kenny of Waco, Texas, Monty of Dallas, Texas, Sari of Valley Mills, Texas and Jeff of Brownwood, Texas; three brothers Cecil Day of Coleman, Texas, Robert Day of San Angelo, Texas and Curtis Wayne Day of San Angelo; one sister Shirley Penn of Azle, Texas; and by numerous grandchildren.    He was preceded in death by one son, Barry in 1986.

He will be missed by his family, and friends in the Ranching Business and Aviation World.

The family request no flowers and donations be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Shelter in Brownwood.

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
