East Elementary rewarded the top ten fundraising students who raised money through the school’s PTO by selling popcorn in December.

“We sold Deanan Gourmet Popcorn to raise money for canvas coverings to go over our playgrounds,” said East Elementary Principal, Nanda Wilbourn.  “That’s our mission this year; to cover the playgrounds from the brutal Texas heat.”

The top 10 fundraisers were rewarded for their efforts with lunch at McDonald’s, bowling at Academy Lanes, and then a Blizzard from Dairy Queen on Wednesday, December 10th.

The following students were among the top 10 sellers:  Kaylyn Drenning ($1074), Reed Wilson ($257), Caleb Clawson ($200), Ruth Black ($193), Dylan Dossey ($171.50), Ava Brownlee ($171), Emma Stegemoller ($154), Aiko Martinez ($134.25), Kendale Fojtasek ($131), and Gale Balfour ($125).
