Walter Eugene Harrington

HarringtonWalter Eugene Harrington, age 65, of Brownwood went to his eternal home on Monday, January 05, 2015 from Senior Care of Brownwood.

Funeral Service with Military Honors for Walter will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Greater Faith Community Church with Pastor Charles Lowe officiating, burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Walter was born July 1, 1949 to Walter Lee and Frankie (Cole) Harrington in Lawton, Oklahoma. Walter was a man of strong faith. He was a member of Greater Faith Community Church; he served as Faithful Deacon for many years and on many committees within the church.  Walter volunteered his time at American Red Cross and Small World Child Development Center. He was an enthusiastic entrepreneur. Walter worked for TWT Molding, Charlie’s Appliances, Sears, and BNS&F. He worked and retired from Texas Youth Commission.

Walter is survived by his wife, Lynza Bibles-Harrington of Brownwood; daughters, Tawnya Harrington of Lancaster, Tabitha Harrington of Athens; son, Andrew Harrington and wife Ashley of Brownwood; daughter, Dominiquée Williams of Abilene; son, Ermiaz Williams of Midland; grandchildren: Hadara Jones, Andrew Jacob Harrington, Ermiaz Williams, Jr., Dominic Conner, and Celicia Colbert; godson, De’Shawn Jernigan; special nephew, Jerimicah Bibles; and lifelong friend, Tommy Watson. He is also survived by other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, King Juan Williams.
