Sunday, January 4

*6:48 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 4th Street and Indian Creek regarding a reckless driving call.  The vehicle was located and stopped.  The driver, Brittany Richardson, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

Monday, January 5

*11:51 AM – A Brownwood Police officer met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his vehicle was vandalized New Year’s Eve night by an unknown suspect.

*12:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue D regarding a civil matter.  The complainant stated that the mother of his child refused to bring back their child after a visitation, the report states.  An investigation is ongoing.

*3:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4400 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding an accident.

*3:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood business in reference to an accident.  According to the report, the officer met with both subjects involved in the accident and determined that one driver did not have a valid Texas driver’s license or valid insurance.  The driver, identified as Michael David Steele of Brownwood was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*8:26 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to County Road 441 in Rising Star regarding a verbal domestic dispute.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend was at the residence and she wanted him to leave.  The ex-boyfriend was issued a criminal trespass warning for the property at the complainant’s request, the report states.

*10:00 PM – Early Police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Early Blvd for expired registration. According to the report, while interviewing the driver and passenger, the officer learned that the driver 23-year-old Julie Jeanette May of Brownwood was wanted on city of Brownwood municipal court warrants. May was taken into custody and while searching her, a baggie containing methamphetamine was located, the report states. Upon searching the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was located with the passenger Alfred Lewis Vasquez, according to the report.  Both were arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail. Vasquez was charged with Possession of controlled substance and May was charged with possession of controlled substance and the four Brownwood municipal court warrants.

*29-year-old Brody Tyler Byrd of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to Substance Abuse Felony Punishment.

*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Rosetta Ivery of Brownwood regarding three counts of credit or debit card abuse and for the burglary of a building.

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Jesse Dewayne Jones of Brownwood regarding theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Jacob Ross Newton for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Early Police arrested 43-year-old Alfredo L. Vasquez, Jr. for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
