A graveside funeral service for Ervin D. Grosshans, age 92, of Brownwood, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Mr. Grosshans died Monday Dec. 22, 2014 in Brownwood.

Ervin was born on October 15, 1922 in Rowena to Walter and Louise (Hennecke) Grosshans.  He joined the US Navy and served his country in World War II.  He moved to Brownwood in 1947 and married Bernice Green on March 15, 1948 in San Saba.  He worked as a Machinist.

Ervin is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Bernice of Brownwood, a daughter, Barbara Crumley of Brownwood, six grandchildren, Hollis Bowers and wife Jessica of Corpus Christi, Marie Gonzales and husband Steven of San Marcos, Dewey Bowers of Brownwood, Lawrence Selensky and wife Lisa of Wharton, Les Selensky of Fort Worth, and Lorie Richey and husband Rob of Corpus Christi; eleven great-grandchildren, and a brother Roy Grosshans and wife Reba.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Linda Bowers, a brother, Arnold Grosshans, and two sisters, Pearl Robertson and Rosalee Woodard.
