Law Enforcement Blotter 12/18

Wednesday, December 17

*9:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 6th Street regarding a subject exposing himself and running down the street.  Police located a subject matching the description of the suspect who was fully clothed and denied having exposed himself.

*12:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 334 after receiving a report of a possible abatement issue while he was investigating a separate incident. According to the report, the deputy observed a significant amount of refuse and rubbish scattered throughout the property.  The residents were not home at this time, the report states.

*1:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of 4th Street regarding criminal trespass.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Christopher Lee Taylor of Brownwood for tampering with evidence.

* 2:26 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to EZ Mart on Hwy 279 in regarding an ex-employee who had allegedly stolen over $1,500 worth of lottery tickets over the last few months. According to the deputy’s report, the EZ Mart District Supervisor has video recording of the thefts.  The district supervisor stated she would like to pursue charges against the suspect for the theft.  No contact was made with the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

*3:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding criminal trespass.  This call led to the arrest of 22-year-old Justin Lewis of Brownwood for criminal trespass, the report states.

*7:32 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Booker Street.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 52-year-old Patrick Michael O’Connor of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Charles Anthony Cummings of Brownwood on warrants related to tamper with physical evidence and theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.  Cummings was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $21,500.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Tara Lynn Hoffman of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*34-year-old William Oleachea of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to injury of a child and theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check enhanced.  Oleachea was released on bonds totaling $12,000.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
